I purchased this jacket for travel and I love it. The fabric is lightweight, packs easily, and is stylish. I used to shop a competitor, and found the competitor’s fabrics to be stifling hot. I find everything I purchased from this company more wearable.

I've had my eye on this for a few years, so I finally sprang for it. When it first arrived, it was damaged on its way to me by the post office. I called Solumbra + they very quickly resolved this for me by shipping me a new one with a prepaid return label for the damaged one. I used to buy the big shirts to wear over non SPF tops. I like this because I can wear anything now, and just pull this jacket on to protect my back, shoulders + arms. It's a little big, but that's fine with me. These Solumbra 1 fabrics don't stretch, so the extra room is appreciated. I like the pockets too!

Used to wear your blouses for cover up. Too casual looking. Ordered this and wear it ALL the time. I put new dresser buttons on it. (I did not like the shell buttons at all). Also sewed Velcro on pocket with button. Made a big difference in the look. Found the first review helpful in my decision.

Elegant
This lovely jacket has an understated kind of elegance and you'd never guess it was meant for sun protection. I love how even on more formal occasions I can have sun protection. It is a real bonus that this is made in the USA. The design is simple and elegant and the fabric is sturdy yet light. Love it!

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
