Fantastic hoody!
I am medically sun sensitive, and so I have to literally live in 100-SPF clothing. I wear this hoody almost every day in the summer over a cute t-shirt or tank top. I can also throw it over any shirt that is not sun protective for temporary sun protection while I am outside. I have it in every color. I garden in the black color. I have worn this hoody for many years and love the lightweight fabric, which is very cool in our hot climate. These have worn well over the years, with little fading after many, many washes.

I own one other Solumbra top and it did the job. It was not really stylish but that is not why I purchased it. This one however, is really cute. I just bought it so haven't worn it yet, but my older top has worn really well and I hope this one will also. I do think that for the price, the zipper could be better quality, but I will trade that for the more cute, stylish look. My older top was more "boxy" and this one fits better and looks more feminine. I primarily want to be protected from the sun, but I also want to look "cute" or at least as cute as an over sixty woman can look and stylish as well. My older top was a bright pink and this one is a neutral color that I can accent by wearing over a colorful tank top. I have three Solumbra hats and they also do the job, but I think Solumbra is definitely working on making their hats more stylish as well as functional. Keep up the good work, Solumbra and keep focusing on the neutral colors that can be accented with bright tanks or scarves and whatnot.

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
